Resilient Communities Day Tour - Everyone Welcome!
Experience a unique, day-long guided tour of three resilient communities on Prince Edward Island!
As part of the 6th Atlantic Summer Institute on Healthy and Safe Communities (ASI), a "Resilient Communities Day Tour" has been organized for Tuesday, August 17th. One of three activities scheduled for this "pre-Institute day," the tour will feature a bus trip to the western part of PEI and stops in Summerside, the Évangéline Region, and Lennox Island. These communities represent the three main founding cultures of Prince Edward Island -- British, Acadian, and Mi'kmaq -- and have taken various measures in recent years to be resilient in the face of challenging circumstances.
