The Quaich participated in a Twitter chat about health promotion on Tuesday, November 27th. #HealthPromoChat was moderated by @Bridge4Health and hosted by @Health_Nexus. A health promotion Twitter chat is hosted on the last Tuesday of every month at 3pm Eastern time.
The topic of this month's health promotion chat was: "shifting the conversation towards promoting mental well-being". Many interesting ideas, strategies and resources were shared. Issues discussed, among others, were: stigma and public perceptions of mental health vs mental illness; community leadership; promoting mental health at work and in personal lives; and the importance of common language.

The 2011 Canadian Mental Health stamp, issued by Canada Post, was designed by Miriane Majeau of Terrebonne, Quebec, who "wanted to create awareness of mental illness and the way it has touched the lives of those closest to her. Her entry, 'The Puzzle,' resonated not only with the judges—mental health professionals and stamp design experts—who selected it as a finalist, it also touched a chord with the Canadian public, who gave it the winning share of the more than 286,000 online votes."
