WHAT WE DO
The Quaich is a well-respected, internationally recognized health promotion consulting company. The Quaich is known for its ability to add value to client organizations by optimizing knowledge and resources amongst stakeholders and increasing client capacity to promote healthier, safer communities.
A Quaich (“qwake”) is a Scottish Gaelic word for cup, a century old symbol of friendship and community which represents the spirit of the company.

PATSY BEATTIE-HUGGAN (BN, MSC, RN)

MIZUHO MILLER (BCOMM)
PROJECT MANAGER
Mizuho holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting and Management from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. Mizuho’s main role is to manage the projects of The Quaich and optimize internal processes. Mizuho has a thorough understanding of both Japanese and Canadian culture, which enhances the ability of The Quaich Inc. to promote healthy communities in a variety of contexts.


NIKKI MACKINNON
BOOKKEEPER
Nikki has over 10 years of experience working as an accounting technician, financial analyst and office manager for PEI companies. She brings skills in organization, administrative support and excellent computer skills to her position as The Quaich’s bookkeeper.
CLAIRE CHILTON (BA)
KNOWLEDGE MOBILIZATION INTERN
Claire is a recent graduate from Queen’s University in Political Studies (BA, 2021), and her interests include mental health promotion, environmentalism, and community advocacy. Claire worked previously as the Communications and Public Relations coordinator for ASI. Claire’s other work experience includes acting as Co-Editor in Chief of the Politicus Undergraduate Journal at Queen’s University, working as a Research Assistant at the Centre for International Defence Policy (Queen’s University, UQAM), and working in the PEI National Park.


KIRSTEN MCKNIGHT (BA, LLB)
CONSULTANT
Kirsten is passionate about creating positive change through community collaboration and inclusiveness. She holds a B.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland and an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick. She has been part of The Quaich team for over 15 years, consulting on a variety of health promotion initiatives for non-profit organizations and local businesses. Her skills include report writing, evaluation, partnership development, communications and event planning.
